How A Snagging
Survey Works.

SR Snagging Services comprehensive snagging inspection

How we carry out your snagging Inspection.

Once you’ve arranged a time for your inspection, Sam or Ross will thoroughly survey your new home and make notes on all the defects/snags they find. You’re more than welcome to attend the inspection too, but be warned, it can take over five hours!

What we do

How A Snagging Survey Works, Sam or Ross will look at all parts of the property that can be visually accessed and check for surface defects such as chips and scratches to woodwork, paintwork, glazing and tiling, and cracks on the walls and ceilings.

They’ll also make sure all built-in units are fitted and screwed in properly and are in good working order, and ensure surfaces are level and there are no plumbing issues.

Test appliances and check fixtures such as taps, lighting and light switches, and make sure the central heating is working as it should.

They’ll also ensure your new property is compliant with technical standards and building regulations.

Using a Borescope they’ll carry out spot checks on the cavity walls and use thermal imaging cameras to identify any issues with heat loss or poor thermal performance. They’ll also use thermal imaging to check for drafts around doors and windows, and other thermal defects that wouldn’t be picked up by a purely visual assessment.
